75 Ukrainians Released from Russian Captivity in Latest Prisoner Exchange

In an ongoing effort to bring Ukrainian citizens home from Russian captivity, significant progress has been made as 75 individuals have been successfully returned to Ukraine, reports Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Throughout this time, we have not stopped working for a single day to bring everyone home from Russian captivity. And today we have an important result: another 75 of our people have returned to Ukraine. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard, border guards, four civilians — all of them are already on their native land,” Zelenskyy stated.

“We remember everyone. We are making every effort to find everyone. Thank you to the team working on the exchanges!” Ukrainian President concluded.

The released hostages include enlisted personnel, sergeants, and officers from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National University of Ukraine, the State Security Service of Ukraine, as well as civilians. Among them are 19 individuals captured from Zmiiny Island, 10 defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal, and Ukrainian military personnel captured elsewhere, according to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak.

“Today, they are back home. I express my deepest gratitude to each of them for their service, and to the civilians for their unwavering faith in Ukraine.”
