On June 21 the Belarusian Ministry of Defense started an unannounced inspection of its military forces, encompassing missile, air force, and air defense units stationed in regions adjacent to Ukraine and Poland.
“An unannounced inspection of the readiness of formations and military units of the armed forces to fulfill their assigned tasks has begun. Military units and subdivisions of operational commands, special operations forces, missile and artillery forces, air force and air defense forces are involved in the inspection,” wrote the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.
It is mentioned that the initial phase will focus on the issues of resolving operational occupation in designated areas, including engineering preparation, security, defense organization, and taking up combat duty. Following this, military units and subdivisions will undertake combat training assignments.
“The inspection will involve training grounds and areas in Brest and Gomel regions. During this period, there may be movement of military equipment on public roads,” the Ministry of Defense added.
