Estonia's PM Kaja Kallas to Succeed Borrell as EU's Top Diplomat
Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas is set to become EU's next High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, succeeding Josep Borrell, says Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) citing anonymous sources.
Brussels sources familiar with negotiations on EU top jobs have also indicated that Antonio Costa will be the next President of the European Council, with Ursula von der Leyen set to continue as President of the European Commission for another five years.
EU leaders are anticipated to formally confirm this trio at a summit scheduled in Brussels on June 27th.
A new change in top leaders is happening in NATO, where allies chose Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte as the next leader of NATO.
