General Brown: US Rules Out Sending Military Instructors to Ukraine for Now

Following the 22nd Ramstein summit of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, General Charles Brown, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, clarified that the United States currently has no plans to send military instructors into Ukraine.

Brown acknowledged that while US military instructors may have been in Ukraine before the full-scale Russian invasion, “that is not the case now.”

“I suspect that we will have the opportunity to do that after the war is over, but currently the United States has no plans to return military instructors to Ukraine,” General Brown stated.

His comments come after Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas revealed that some countries have already deployed instructors to train Ukrainian troops within the country.

Additionally, in March 2024, Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski suggested the possibility of Western troops already being stationed in Ukraine.
