Russian Forces Drop FAB-3000 Guided Bomb on Village in Kursk Region, Video
Russian forces hit village Darino with FAB-3000M54 guided bomb as a part of their assault in the Kursk region. This was confirmed by footage, released by Russian media on October 28.
Video shows how Russian strike turned multiple residential houses to ash in a single strike.
FAB-3000 is a soviet-era bomb, that weights approximately 3,000kg and is actively being used by Russian army to strike civilian targets.
Russians started to modernize these bombs by making them “glide bombs”, used to “precision” strike Ukrainian positions and cities far from the actual frontline, making it almost impossible to counter.
Earlier, The Institute for the Study of War assessed that Ukraine’s operations in the Kursk region are likely increasing Russia’s willingness to engage in prisoner exchanges.
In addition, Russian forces begun using new unified gliding and correction modules (UMPK) to extend the range of these bombs to up to 100 km, now reaching cities like Zaporizhzhia.
