Ukraine Advances Own Missile Program, Says Zelenskyy
During a meeting of Ukraine’s Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed significant developments in the operational situation, forecasts, future actions, and the rotation of brigades. The meeting focused extensively on the capability to strike along the front line and evaluated the effectiveness of various drone types. There was also analysis of Russian military tactics regarding drones and assessments of electronic warfare (EW) and other methods to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Zelenskyy also highlighted Ukraine’s active pursuit of its own missile program aimed at reducing dependency on rocket imports, particularly for air defense systems. Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamysin, First Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Havryliuk, and Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov provided reports on these matters during the meeting.
Furthermore, Zelensky stated, “We are actively working on new rockets to avoid dependence on foreign suppliers.”
