Ukraine and EU Establish Single Roaming Zone in Historic Agreement
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed the law of a single roaming zone with the EU.
This law ensures the inclusion of Ukraine in the joint Ukraine-EU roaming zone and the receipt by Ukrainians of roaming services in EU countries in the “Roaming like at home” (RLAH) mode.
RLAH means that when traveling through the EU, calls, SMS, and data transmission are included in the home service package, so roaming services are provided at no additional cost. Users of European operators traveling to Ukraine will also be able to take advantage of the common roaming zone.
The law greatly enhances the investment climate for businesses in the field of electronic communications. Domestic economic entities will receive a high degree of trust, working according to uniform rules with European partners.
Thanks to the law, the investment climate for businesses in electronic communications is greatly enhanced. Domestic economic entities will benefit from the increased trust that will come with standardizing rules alongside European partners.
