Ukraine's Sumy Council Rebukes Fakes of Including Russian Suzha City to Its Region

The Sumy District Council of the Sumy region of Ukraine denied the intention to include the Russian Suzha city as part of the district.

Earlier, a photo of a fake draft decision of the district council on the acceptance of Suzha and the district of the same name into the Sumy district began to spread on social networks.

The Sumy District Council stated that it is not considering the decision to include the city of Suzha and the Suzha District of the Kursk Region of Russia into the Sumy District of the Sumy Region.

"The Sumy District Council officially informs that there is no relevant decision in the draft decisions and agenda of the council, this issue is not within its competence. Moreover, the session of the Sumy District Council for today, August 8, 2024, has not been scheduled and was not held. We ask you to trust official sources of information," stated the council's post on Facebook.

On August 6 the governor of Russia's Kursk region reported an attempt by Ukrainian Forces to break through in the Kursk border.
