Zelenskyy Responds to Attack on Trump

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine responded to the attack on former US President Donald Trump.

“I am informed about the shooting at former US President Donald Trump at his rally in Pennsylvania. Such violence has no justification and no place in the world. Violence should never prevail,” Zelenskyy wrote on X (Twitter).

Zelenskyy also noted that he is “glad to hear that Donald Trump is now safe” and wished him a speedy recovery.

“I express condolences to the victim’s family of this attack, a participant of the rally. I wish strength to all who are affected by this event. I hope America emerges stronger from this,” said Zelenskyy.

Earlier, during Donald Trump’s speech in Pennsylvania, gunfire was heard. The politician was immediately evacuated from the venue. Trump interrupted his speech and left the stage with a bloody ear. He sustained a minor injury but is feeling well. The bullet narrowly missed his head, grazing his ear. One spectator and the assailant died in the incident.

Currently, law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident to clarify all circumstances. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has taken up the investigation of the incident. President Biden has already condemned the attack.
