Serhii Melnychenko

Serhii Melnychenko is a Ukrainian photographer, educator, and curator born in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. Working across conceptual, staged, and documentary photography, he began his practice in 2009 and became the first Ukrainian to win the Leica Oskar Barnack Award Newcomer in 2017. He is the founder of the MYPH School of Conceptual and Art Photography

Melnychenko has participated in over 200 solo and group exhibitions, fairs, and festivals worldwide, and has published 14 photobooks, both personal and in collaboration with MYPH. He is also the organizer and curator of more than 60 exhibitions and projects featuring works by MYPH students across the globe.
