Australia is set to deliver 14 rigid hull boats to Ukraine to boost the nation's maritime and coastal defenses, the Australian Ministry of Defense reported.

The latest military aid package, valued at AU$14 million (US$9.2 million), is aimed at enhancing Ukraine’s maritime and coastal defense capabilities, an essential operational domain for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These sea boats from the Australian Defence Force aim to equip Ukraine with a swift and highly maneuverable maritime capability.

“Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Australia has provided more than $1.3 billion (US$857 million) in military support, and more than $1.5 billion (US$989 million) in overall support to the government of Ukraine,” the press release said.

In the beginning of November, Australia announced transferring extended-range Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM-ER ) bombs to Ukraine as part of ongoing military support efforts.
