A series of explosions near Vladivostok in Russia’s Far East damaged key infrastructure supporting the 155th Naval Infantry Brigade of the Russian Pacific Fleet, according to Ukrainian intelligence sources cited by RBC-Ukraine.

The incident occurred during the early hours of July 5, with the blasts reportedly hitting sections of the “Vladivostok” main gas pipeline and an adjacent water supply system.

The explosion triggered a large fire, prompting the deployment of Russian emergency services and repair crews.

According to RBC-Ukraine, citing sources in Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, the pipeline provided gas to several Russian military facilities along the Sea of Japan coast, including units of the 155th Brigade. The damaged segment of the pipeline had been commissioned in March 2025.

In addition to the gas pipeline, the water pipeline supplying nearby military garrisons was also destroyed, disrupting water access to personnel stationed in the area.

The explosions were reportedly concentrated near Lazurnaya Bay (also known as Shamora), not far from Vladivostok.

To prevent the spread of information, especially during the city’s 165th anniversary celebrations, Russian authorities temporarily disabled mobile internet and communication services in the affected area.

This is the second reported incident involving infrastructure linked to the 155th Brigade in recent months. On May 30, a separate explosion occurred near Desantnaya Bay, also in the Vladivostok region.

That incident was similarly attributed to sabotage targeting personnel and equipment of the brigade’s 47th Air Assault Battalion. Witnesses reported emergency vehicles and military trucks leaving the area following the blast.

Ukrainian intelligence officials have not publicly claimed responsibility but have described the events as part of broader operations aimed at disrupting Russian military logistics on the country’s Pacific coast.

Earlier on July 5, drone strikes targeted multiple regions across Russia. In Voronezh, Ukraine confirmed a hit on the Borisoglebsk airfield, damaging aircraft and bomb warehouses. In Chuvashia, a drone ignited a fire at a plant linked to Russian UAV technology. Additional strikes were reported in Saratov and Engels, while flight operations were disrupted at Pulkovo Airport.
