Boxer and World Champion Oleksandr Usyk Detained at Krakow Airport, Video

Ukrainian boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk was arrested at the Krakow airport. The circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated, according to the first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Youth and Sports, Zhan Beleniuk.

Following the incident, Usyk’s wife reported on Instagram that everything is fine and promised to provide further details later.

Oleksandr Usyk is a renowned professional boxer from Ukraine, originally from Simferopol. He gained prominence for his achievements in the cruiserweight division, where he became the undisputed world champion. Following this, Usyk moved up to the heavyweight division, where he also achieved significant success, becoming a world champion.

In addition to his sporting accomplishments, Usyk is known for his philanthropic work. He founded the Oleksandr Usyk Foundation, which supports the Ukrainian military and provides aid to those affected by the war. The foundation is involved in organizing charity auctions, providing medical vehicles and equipment, and delivering humanitarian aid.
