Russian leader Vladimir Putin has agreed to a 30-day suspension of strikes on energy infrastructure following a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump.

According to Kremlin, Putin supported Trump’s proposal for a mutual halt to attacks on energy facilities and immediately issued an order to the Russian military to comply.

The Kremlin emphasized that Russia’s agreement to the suspension is contingent on monitoring mechanisms and broader conditions, including restrictions on Ukraine’s military mobilization and arms supplies.

The decision comes as part of ongoing diplomatic discussions regarding temporary ceasefire measures.
