Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,520 Troops, 32 Artillery Systems and 1,391 Drones in One Day

Russian forces lost 1,520 personnel over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on March 19.

According to the update, Russia’s total combat losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, are estimated at 1,284,090 troops.
Over the same period, Ukrainian forces also destroyed or damaged multiple pieces of military equipment, including 4 armored fighting vehicles, 32 artillery systems, and 3 multiple launch rocket systems. In addition, 1,391 operational-tactical level drones and 155 vehicles and fuel trucks were eliminated.

The total number of Russian tanks destroyed remains at 11,786, while air defense systems, aircraft, and helicopters showed no change in reported losses.
The General Staff also reported 235 combat engagements along the front line over the past day, reflecting continued high-intensity fighting across multiple sectors.
Earlier, Ukrainian paratroopers from the 79th Air Assault Brigade inflicted heavy losses on Russian forces near Pokrovsk, reportedly destroying an entire battalion from the Russian 5th Motor Rifle Brigade “Oplot.”
