Daily Update: Russia Loses 770 Troops, 60 Artillery Systems, and 1,300+ Drones in One Day

Russian forces sustained heavy losses over the past 24 hours, with at least 770 personnel killed or wounded, according to the latest figures provided by Ukraine's General Staff on February 5.

As of the most recent update, Russian casualties since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,243,840 personnel.

In terms of military equipment, Russian forces also lost significant amounts of hardware, including 5 more tanks, bringing the total to 11,642. Additionally, 4 armored combat vehicles were destroyed, raising the total to 23,996, and 60 artillery systems were eliminated, increasing the overall loss to 36,975.

Other key losses reported include an additional 1,351 operational-tactical UAVs, raising the total number to 125,094. The number of Russian cruise missiles lost also increased by 40, bringing the total to 4,245.

Updated Russian losses as of February 5, according to Ukraine’s General Staff, include:

  • personnel: approx. 1,243,840 (+770)

  • tanks: 11,642 (+5)

  • armored combat vehicles: 23,996 (+4)

  • artillery systems: 36,975 (+60)

  • multiple launch rocket systems: 1,636 (+2)

  • air defense systems: 1,293 (+1)

  • aircraft: 435 (no change)

  • helicopters: 347 (no change)

  • operational-tactical UAVs: 125,094 (+1,351)

  • cruise missiles: 4,245 (+40)

  • warships/boats: 28 (no change)

  • submarines: 2 (no change)

  • vehicles and fuel tankers: 77,149 (+200)

  • special equipment: 4,062 (+4)

The General Staff also reported that Russian forces launched three missile strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using three missiles, 96 airstrikes, and dropping 246 guided aerial bombs.

Additionally, they deployed 7,880 strike drones and carried out 3,971 shelling attacks on populated areas and our military positions, including 89 strikes from multiple launch rocket systems.

Earlier, it was reported that Russian forces are facing significant losses in the Dnipro River delta due to detonating mines they had previously placed.
