Dmytro Kuleba: Striking Russian Territory Will Bring a Swifter End to the War

Dmytro Kuleba, Ukrainian Foreign Minister, insisted that striking military targets within Russia would accelerate the war’s end, during a briefing with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Kyiv.

This statement comes amid an ongoing debate about Ukraine’s right to strike Russia with weapons provided by its partners.

Kuleba argued that Ukraine’s attacks on Russian soil are justified because it is “the territory from which death and destruction come to Ukraine.”

“It’s better to be on Ukraine’s side because the more military targets we can destroy on Russian territory, the sooner this war will end with Ukraine’s victory,” according to Kuleba.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, also urged allies to consider additional options for stopping Russian missiles, including potentially allowing them to be shot down from allied territory

Additionally, in an interview with Reuters, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine is negotiating with international partners about the possibility of using their weapons to strike targets on the territory of Russia.

Earlier, France’s head of the National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee called for lifting the restriction on Kyiv striking Russian territory, aligning with Great Britain’s stance.
