Fake News That Zelenskyy Bought Hitler's Ceremonial Car for $15 Million Debunked
A false story is circulating online, alleging that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy purchased Adolf Hitler's ceremonial car for 15 million dollars. The story has been debunked by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CPD).
“The origin of this baseless claim is an article published on the Seattle Tribune website, which was created just five days ago and notably lacks an identified author,” CPD wrote.
The article features a photo of a car purportedly parked near the Presidential Office, which is claimed to have been shared by a well-known Ukrainian Telegram channel. However, a search of the channel reveals that no such image exists.
This misinformation has quickly spread across various platforms, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), where it has gained traction.
CPD had previously recorded similar fake news aimed specifically at discrediting the President of Ukraine and his family.
The Center for Countering Disinformation have urged the public to be cautious and verify information before sharing it, as the spread of false narratives can undermine trust and fuel misinformation.
