Germany Delivers Two Patriot Missile Systems to Ukraine, First Launchers Already Arrive

Germany is delivering two complete Patriot missile systems to Ukraine, with the first launchers already on Ukrainian soil, Ukrinform reported on September 9.
This was announced by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius at the start of the 30th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (the “Ramstein” format), according to a correspondent from Ukrinform.
“In addition to the ongoing supply of weapons and ammunition, Germany is currently providing Ukraine with two complete Patriot systems. The first launchers have already been delivered to Ukraine,” Pistorius said.

Previously, Germany’s Rheinmetall had confirmed that it will deliver Skyranger short-range air-defense systems to Ukraine before the end of 2025. The contract, worth several hundred million dollars, is scheduled to be signed at the Defense and Security Equipment International (DSEI) exhibition in London, Rheinmetall chief executive Armin Papperger said.
Earlier, Germany had also announced a €10 billion ($10.9 billion) investment package over the next decade to reinforce its civil protection system, Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said in an interview with Bild.
