Governor of Russia's Kursk Region Declares State of Emergency Amid Ongoing Situation In Region

The Governor of Kursk Region, Alexey Smirnov, has declared a state of emergency in the whole region due to the ongoing situation in the area.

Smirnov said: “I remind you that the operational headquarters under my leadership is working around the clock. I am personally monitoring the situation. I am in constant contact with the security agencies and the federal center. All necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of Kursk residents.”
