In St. Petersburg, Protesters Mock Western Leaders in Bizarre 'Funeral' Rally

In St. Petersburg, a group of protesters held a rally against countries critical of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The demonstration involved a car decorated like a hearse, with wreaths displaying the portraits of leaders from various countries, according to a Russian news outlet Bumaga.

The wreaths included portraits of leading politicians from Finland, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Japan, Ireland, the USA, and other countries. On the coffin itself, activists hung a wreath with the image of German Prime Minister Olaf Scholz, as well as the inscription “Gay-rope from undefeated Russia.”

A small gallows with a photo of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was also placed on the hearse.
