Key Russian Electronic Warfare Assets Eliminated by Ukrainian Intelligence Unit

Ukrainian intelligence has shared photos showing the results of strikes on Russian military targets in Debaltseve and Novoluhanske. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), on July 6th, operatives from the Department of Active Operations collaborated with an aerial reconnaissance unit from the 45th Separate Artillery Brigade to identify and engage two Russian military installations.

In Debaltseve, the strike targeted a logistics center used by the Russian forces to store tank equipment and ammunition. Simultaneously, in Novoluhanske, intelligence operatives destroyed a Russian automated jamming station, identified as the R-330Zh “Zhitel”.

The R-330Zh Zhitel is a sophisticated electronic warfare system employed extensively by Russian forces in conflicts, including its use against Ukraine. This system is designed to disrupt enemy communications and radar systems, thereby hampering adversary operational effectiveness.
