Talks between Russia and the United States are scheduled to take place in Riyadh on March 24, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov revealed to Russian state media on March 20.

The Russian delegation will be led by Senator Georgy Karasin and Sergey Beseda, an advisor to the director of the Federal Security Service. Ushakov added that the American delegation has also been assembled, though he did not name its members.

“We hope that the consultations scheduled for Monday will be productive,” Ushakov noted adding that the US delegation has been formed but did not name its representatives.

Special Envoy of US President Donald Trump for Middle East affairs, Steve Witkoff said that Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz will again travel to Saudi Arabia for the talks.

Earlier, Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council, said that Ukraine’s Constitution remains a key obstacle to ending the war.

“Ukraine’s main difficulty is its constitution, which prohibits any negotiations on changing its territorial integrity,” Shoigu stated.
