Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on reports claiming the US lifted restrictions on long-range strikes with US weapons within Russian territory, remarking that “Such things are not announced” in his evening address on November 17.

The comments came after media reported that the Biden administration had allegedly approved the use of US-supplied ATACMS missiles against Russian and North Korean forces in Russia’s Kursk region. Officials in Washington or Kyiv have not confirmed the claims.

“The plan to strengthen Ukraine is the Victory Plan, which I presented to our partners. One of its key points is long-range capabilities for our army,” Zelenskyy said in his evening address.

“Today, there’s a lot of talk in the media about us receiving permission for respective actions. But strikes are not carried out with words. Such things are not announced. Missiles will speak for themselves. They certainly will. Glory to Ukraine!” he added.

Earlier, a study highlighted the necessity of using the Tomahawk missiles to target 12 pivotal missile manufacturing plants in Russia, situated between 500 and 1500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
