Musk Claims Part of U.S. Aid to Ukraine Benefited American Politicians

Tech billionaire Elon Musk suggested that a significant portion of U.S. aid to Ukraine has benefited American politicians, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and some Republicans rather than reaching Ukraine directly.

Musk made the statement via X on February 20.

“A significant percentage of the money ‘sent to Ukraine’ actually ended up benefitting U.S. politicians, the DNC, and some Republicans. That’s why Zelenskyy says he only received half the money,” Musk wrote.

Musk did not provide evidence for his claims, and neither Ukrainian nor U.S. officials have commented on the statement.

Previously, Elon Musk, along with multiple media outlets, spread a false claim on February 6, alleging that 90% of Ukrainian media are controlled by the US government.
