On Ukraine’s Day of Dignity and Freedom, Zelenskyy Pays Tribute to Fallen Heroes
November 21 marks the Day of Dignity and Freedom in Ukraine, commemorating two pivotal events in the country’s modern history: the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity in 2013, which began nine years apart.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the generations of Ukrainians who have fought for the nation and become a global symbol of dignity. He urged everyone to remember the true cost of freedom for Ukraine and to never forget those who have sacrificed for its sake.
“Today is the Day of Dignity and Freedom. We remember the ultimate price paid for Ukraine’s freedom and we do not forget all those throughout different times who fought for Ukraine, becoming a symbol of dignity for the world.
Thanks to our people and our nation’s unwavering desire to secure Ukraine’s freedom and independence, our state will forever remain on the political map of the world—always free, always sovereign.”
