Ukraine has received 5,000 new Starlink terminals from Poland, bringing the total number of satellite communication terminals donated by Warsaw to over 29,000, Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, reported on April 3.

The newly delivered terminals will be distributed to hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure facilities. Some will also be sent to frontline areas.

“Due to ongoing shelling and the destruction of base stations in de-occupied regions, conventional communication is unavailable,” Fedorov said.

“The terminals will provide uninterrupted connectivity where it’s needed most—hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure sites.”

On March 9, American billionaire Elon Musk stated that he will “never” disable Starlink satellite terminals in Ukraine, regardless of his stance on the country’s policies.
