Qatar to Provide Ukraine with PzH 2000 Self-Propelled Howitzers in First Weapon Transfer, Says Bild

In the first half of 2024, the German government approved the sale of advanced 155mm wheeled self-propelled howitzers (RCH 155) to Qatar, which will, in return, transfer 12 PzH 2000 to Ukraine.

This was reported by BILD.

The Qatari PzH 2000s will be delivered to Germany for repairs before being sent to Ukraine’s arsenal. It is reported that the Qatari fleet of PzH 2000 consists of 24 combat vehicles.

If confirmed, this would mark the first weapon transfer from Qatar to Ukraine.

Russian authorities have repeatedly described Qatar as a “strategic” and “key” partner for Russia in the Middle East.
