Ukrainian shooter Serhii Kulish has won a silver medal at the 2024 Olympic Games. He competed in the 50-meter rifle shooting event.

The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine announced the achievement.

Kulish earned a total of 461.3 points. The gold medal was won by China's Liu Yukun, and the bronze went to India's Swapnil Kusale.

This is not Kulish’s first medal. In 2016, he secured second place at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Kulish became the first Ukrainian shooter to qualify for the 2024 Olympics in rifle shooting. In the qualifiers, he achieved the third-best result, scoring 199 out of 200 points in the kneeling and standing positions.

In the finals of the 50-meter rifle shooting event with three positions, Kulish competed at the Olympics for the second time.

This is Ukraine’s second medal at the 2024 Olympics. On July 29, Ukrainian fencer Olha Kharlan won a bronze medal.
