Russia imposed entry bans on 92 individuals, including journalists from The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Washington Post.

The list, published on Telegram by Moscow's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, includes 14 Wall Street Journal employees, 5 New York Times journalists and 4 from the Washington Post.

Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the ban was applied "In response to the Russophobic course pursued by the Biden administration with the declared goal of 'inflicting a strategic defeat on Moscow', an integral part of which has become 'carpet' sanctions against Russian politicians, representatives of the business community, scientists and cultural figures, journalists and media structures, entry into the Russian Federation is permanently closed for 92 US citizens."

The Ministry stated that the banned journalists are associated with “leading liberal-globalist publications involved in the production and dissemination of ‘fakes’ about Russia and the Russian armed forces.”
