Russia Fortifies Kerch Bridge in Occupied Crimea with Additional Barges, OSINT Analyst Reports

Russian troops increased the number of barges near the Kerch Bridge to protect it, reports an analyst at the American Enterprise Institute’s Department of Foreign and Defense Policy Research, Brady Africk.

“Russia continues to add barges along the Crimean Bridge to act as barriers against Ukraine's naval drones,” Africk wrote on X.

At the beginning of June, the intelligence of Great Britain reported that Russia was trying to protect the Kerch Bridge by pulling eight barges to it.

Additionally, fortification construction works were recorded near the Kerch Bridge. According to the report of the correspondent of the Radio Liberty Crimea.Realii project, a floating crane can be seen in the water area of ​​the Kerch Strait.

Ukrainian Forces has been actively targeting military objects in temporarily occupied Crimea. On July 23 it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted significant damage on the Russian ferry "Slavianin" during a strike on the port of "Kavkaz" near Kerch.
