Russia-Installed Crimea Authorities Move to Seize Assets of Ukrainian Boxer Oleksandr Usyk

Russia-installed officials in temporarily occupied Crimea announced on December 16 that they had expanded a list of properties to be seized to include assets belonging to 84 additional individuals and companies, including Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Oleksandr Usyk, a native of Simferopol, according to a local official’s statement on the same day.
The head of the Russia-backed State Council in Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, wrote that “today the list of nationalized property was expanded by the property of another 84 individuals and legal entities,” and said those listed were accused of cooperating with Kyiv and supporting Ukraine’s armed forces.

He described Usyk as a “supporter of Nazi ideology” and said the boxer had condemned what Russia calls its “special military operation” and organized fundraising for Ukraine’s military.
The latest announcement follows a wider campaign by Russia-installed authorities to seize property in Crimea.
Konstantinov said in a separate Telegram post earlier this year that about 3,500 objects were included in “nationalization” lists in 2022–2024, including more than 1,200 in 2024.
Earlier, it was reported that Russia’s occupation authorities said they generated billions of rubles by selling property seized from Ukrainian owners in occupied Crimea, including an apartment linked to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
