Russia Launches Ballistic Missile and Drone Attack Across Several Regions of Ukraine
Ukrainian air defenses intercepted a significant portion of the incoming attacks, including four ballistic missiles and 15 Iranian-made drones.
In Kyiv, air defense systems were active throughout the night. Around 11 p.m., Kyiv and its surrounding areas were targeted by a Russian missile attack. While no casualties were reported, preliminary reports indicated the use of ballistic missiles, Iskander-M or KN-23, which were intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses.
Kharkiv also came under fire, with a residential building damaged in the Circusy district. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region, two Kh-59 guided air missiles from the Sea of Azov, and 16 Shahed drones from Crimea and Kursk, according to Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk
In total, air defenses successfully destroyed two Kh-59 missiles and 15 Shahed drones across Kyiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
