Russia Launches Massive Attack on Donetsk Region, Killing At Least 6 Civilians and Injuring 41
On June 24, Russia hit Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, Druzhkivka, and Toretsk cities in the Donetsk Region in Eastern Ukraine, killing at least 6 civilians and injuring 41.
Russian forces launched the biggest recent missile attack on the city of Pokrovsk, killing at least 5 civilians and injuring 34.
"This is one of the biggest recent enemy attacks on civilians. Its final consequences have yet to be determined. There has not been a single safe place left in the Donetsk region for a long time. Take care of yourselves! Evacuate!,” wrote the Head of the Donetsk Regional State and Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
It is reported that Russia fired two Iskander-M missiles at the city. One private house was destroyed, and another 16 were damaged.
In Kurakhove Russian forces dropped a guided aerial bomb on the city, killing a 62-year-old man and injuring another person.
In addition, Druzhkivka city came under fire, there is information about 1 injured person and a damaged object.
Russia also attacked the city of Toretsk, killing a 63-year-old woman and injuring a 64-year-old man.
Toretsk is a strategically important town located less than 8 kilometers (5 miles) from the front line.
On Monday morning Russia also launched an attack on Odesa city, injuring at least 4 people.
