On the night of August 30, the Russian army carried out an airstrike on Sumy. Preliminary reports indicate that there are casualties.

This was reported by the Regional Military Administration.

The Prosecutor's Office clarified that the Russian military targeted an industrial facility. As a result of the strike, nine people have been injured. The body of a 37-year-old woman was found under the rubble, and a 48-year-old woman died from injuries at the hospital.

The attack also caused a fire. Sumy’s Military Administration Chief, Oleksii Drozdenko, urged residents of the Veretenyvka, Hannivka, and Kovpak areas to keep their windows closed.

“Air pollution from smoke is possible,” noted Drozdenko.

The consequences of the Russian attack are still being assessed, added the Regional Military Administration.
