The Only Country in the UN Security Council That Abstained From Voting For A Ceasefire in Gaza Was….Russia

On June 10, 2024, the United Nations Security Council adopted a resolution calling for an “immediate, full and complete ceasefire” in Gaza.

14 countries in the UN Security Council voted to back the US resolution on a three-part ceasefire. Only one country abstained, and that was Russia.
