Russian Forces Launch Airstrike on Kherson, At Least 20 People Injured

Russian forces launched an airstrike on the southern city of Kherson on October 7. Local authorities reported that at least 20 people were injured.

The attack occurred around 10:40 am local time, when Russian army dropped four KAB bombs in the coastal area of the central district and two more in the northern section of Kherson.

Initially, eight injuries were reported, including two children aged three and five, with an additional eleven injuries confirmed later that day.

The regional prosecutor's office stated that at least six multi-story buildings were damaged by the blast waves.

Ukraine regained control of the southern city of Kherson from Russian occupation in November 2022. Since then, Russian forces have frequently targeted the city and surrounding areas along the western bank of the Dnipro River.
