Russian Government Proposes Video Game Showcasing Drone Usage in Ukraine

Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov has proposed creating a video game focused on the use of drones in Russia’s war against Ukraine, Meduza reported on March 26, citing Vedomosti.
According to the news agency, Alikhanov has requested that relevant proposals be submitted by the Minister of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
The Ministry of Digital Development stated that they have not yet received any requests from the Ministry of Industry and Trade but conceptually support measures aimed at “developing the legal framework for the development and promotion of video games by Russian developers.”
Vasily Ovchinnikov, the CEO of the Video Game Industry Development Organization, said that there is a real demand in Russia for military simulators and patriotic projects, particularly from the military and educational institutions. He believes that drone flight games set in the "special military operation zone” have the potential to gain popularity, provided they are well-made and offer engaging gameplay.
On March 25, Russia declared that the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is now a “Russian nuclear facility,” insisting that neither Ukraine nor any other country will ever regain control over it.
