Russian Missile Fragments Reportedly Found in Moldova Following Strike on Ukraine

Missile fragments were found in the north of Moldova on the morning of October 16, four kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

This was reported by the Moldovan Border Police.

According to law enforcement officers, residents of the Ocnița district found "several metal objects", most likely fragments of a shell. They were found near the village of Lencăuți, which is located 4 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

Moldovan media outlets speculate that the debris could be missile fragments.

Authorities in Romania and Moldova have previously reported multiple instances of discovering wreckage from Russian drones.

Romania has previously called on NATO to implement a “robust and coordinated” response to the repeated incursions of Russian drones and missiles into its airspace.
