In Russia's Rostov region, 10 preschoolers from kindergarten No. 38 "Raduga" [“Rainbow,” - Eng.] were inducted into the Yunarmiya  movement and were presented with a model of the destroyed Ukrainian city of Bakhmut during a meeting with Russian troops.

This was reported by representatives of the kindergarten in a post on Russian social media platform VKontakte.

The event took place at a military unit of the Southern Military District of Russia.

"The command officially presented the kindergarten with an installation model depicting a day of the Special Military Operation , specifically the liberation of the city of Bakhmut. This model, crafted by our comrade Senior Sergeant Roman Sergeyevich K., will hold a worthy place in the mini-museum of the Great Patriotic War," the message reads.

Regional department head Ponomarenko handed military certificates to the children, who then sang the anthem of the Yunarmiya movement, "Serving Russia," and demonstrated their drill skills. This was followed by a flower-laying ceremony at the memorial for Russian soldiers.

It was reported earlier that training in the the so-called Volunteer Society for Assistance to the Army, Aviation, and Navy of Russia (DOSAAF) on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine will be mandatory starting at age 14, when previously the minimum age for joining the organization was 18.

Russian authorities are actively involving children in the "Yunarmiya" (Youth Army). Schoolchildren are sent to summer camps where they are trained in shooting. Additionally, educational institutions conduct "lessons of courage," which involve the militarization of children's minds, according to the Mariupol City Council.
