Russian Strikes Kill At Least Four Civilians Across Ukraine’s Donetsk Region

At least four civilians were killed and two more injured in Russian attacks across Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region over the past day, regional governor Vadym Filashkin reported on April 10.
“One person was killed in Novoeconomichne as a result of shelling,” Filashkin wrote. “Another was killed in the village of Bahatyr following a Russian strike.”
A woman was killed in Kostyantynivka, and another civilian died in Pokrovsk due to ongoing attacks, he added.
Shelling also left one person wounded in Siversk and another injured in Lyman.
Earlier, Russian forces shelled the city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region on April 7, killing one person and injuring two.
Eight private homes, three administrative buildings, a shop, and a power line were damaged in the city.
“Among the injured is a 9-year-old girl who suffered shrapnel wounds at home. We had previously evacuated her and her family to a safer region, but they returned to Kostiantynivka in March,” Filashkin said.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, 3,135 people have been killed and 6,911 injured in the Donetsk region, not including casualties from occupied cities like Volnovakha and Mariupol, according to Ukrainian authorities.
