Russian Video Shows Severed Head of Alleged Ukrainian Soldier, Ombudsman Calls for Global Action

Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, reported that a video appeared on the internet in which Russians show the severed head of an alleged Ukrainian soldier.

The Ombudsman appealed to the UN and the ICRC regarding this act of violation of international humanitarian law by the Russian side.

Lubinets stressed that Russia shares such videos in order to demoralize Ukrainians.

“I want to note that the enemy uses such videos to intimidate and demoralize Ukrainians. However, this only strengthens us in our desire to bring everyone who commits such inhuman atrocities to inevitable responsibility!” the Ombudsman wrote.
