Russia's Genocidal Intent to Destroy Ukrainians Proven in Today's Attacks, Says Ukraine's Prosecutor General

Following Russia’s mass missile attack on Ukraine on July 8th 2024, Andriy Kostin, Prosecutor General of Ukraine, wrote on X:

“Russia continues its attempts to completely destroy Ukraine and Ukrainians. A new insidious attack on peaceful cities: Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk. Over 20 dead, dozens injured.

As of 12:30 PM, it is known that at least 9 people were killed and 23 injured in Kyiv. The "Okhmatdyt" hospital, a unique, exclusively children's hospital, has been damaged. An entire section of a residential building has been completely destroyed. There may be people trapped under the rubble. The rescue operation is ongoing.

10 people were killed and over 40 injured in Kryvyi Rih. The enemy struck a civilian object with two missiles.

Three people were killed in Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.

One person was injured in Dnipro, and another in the Kyiv region.

Today is yet another horrific proof of the Kremlin's genocidal intent. For the first time since Hitler, genocide is being committed in the center of Europe. And the world has no right to turn a blind eye to this.“
