On the evening of June 14, a Russian Su-24 bomber violated Swedish airspace flying near the strategic Baltic Sea island of Gotland.

The Russian bomber did not respond to the initial warning and only left after Sweden scrambled two JAS-39 Gripen fighters, Sweden's military said on Saturday.

“Today, on Tuesday June 18, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs has summoned the Russian Ambassador to express its stance against Russia’s violation of Swedish airspace that took place on Friday June 14,” the Ministry for Foreign Affairs wrote.
