Two teenagers in Omsk, Russia have been detained after they allegedly set fire to a Mi-8 helicopter at a local airbase. According to the Russian media, the incident occurred on the evening of September 21. The teenagers reportedly threw a Molotov cocktail at the helicopter before fleeing the scene.

The suspects, both 16 years old, told authorities that they received the assignment through Telegram, with the promise of a $20,000 reward. However, they were not paid for their actions.

This incident follows a similar attack in the Russian city of Noyabrsk on September 11, when two teenagers also set fire to a Mi-8 helicopter, leaving only the tail section intact. The attackers in that case had been promised a reward of 5 million rubles.
