Ukraine Receives €1.9 Billion Tranche from EU's Ukraine Facility Program
Ukraine has received a 1.9 billion euro tranche of financial support from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility program.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this on X.
"I want to express my gratitude to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and her entire team for their unwavering support," he wrote.
According to Shmyhal, the total budgetary support from the EU since the beginning of this year has already reached nearly 8 billion euros.
Earlier in June, Ukrainian Parliament ratified the agreement with the European Union regarding the Ukraine Facility Plan. This plan’s program will provide Ukraine with €50 billion during the years 2024-2027. Of this amount, €39 billion will be directed to the state budget to strengthen macro-financial stability. The rest is a special investment instrument for covering risks in priority sectors, loans, and else.
On March 20, the European Commission transferred the first tranche of 4.5 billion euros to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility.
