Ukraine Repatriates 909 Fallen Soldiers From Frontlines and Russian Morgues

Ukraine has carried out another repatriation operation, returning the bodies of 909 fallen service members, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War announced on May 16.
Among the deceased are soldiers who fought in the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv directions. The remains also include those recovered from morgues on Russian territory.
Law enforcement investigators and forensic experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are working to identify the fallen as quickly as possible.
On April 18, Ukraine recovered and repatriated the bodies of another 909 fallen defenders, bringing them home from both the front lines and morgues on Russian territory.
