A child has been successfully returned from the temporarily occupied territories after resisting pressure and continuing studies in a Ukrainian school, with the dream of pursuing education in free Ukraine.

This was reported by Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine via Telegram on August 26.

“As part of President Zelenskyy’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA, we managed to bring back another child from the temporarily occupied territories. Despite years of pressure and restrictions, she continued her studies in a Ukrainian school online and dreamed of education and a future in a free Ukraine,” Yermak said.

He emphasized that today the girl is safe, reunited with her family, and receiving the necessary support as she prepares to enter a Ukrainian university.

“We thank the Ukrainian Child Rights Network for their assistance in the return,” Yermak cocluded.

Earlier, Andriy Yermak welcomed a strong statement by US Senator Lindsey Graham, who warned that Moscow could face tougher consequences if it fails to return abducted Ukrainian children.

Graham described Russia’s kidnapping of Ukrainian children as a barbaric crime and stressed that if the children are not returned, he would push to designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
