Ukraine Sought Air and Naval Ceasefires, POW Exchange in Jeddah Meeting

On March 13, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi stated that he is very positive about the meeting in Jeddah that went between the Ukrainian and US delegations.

Tykhyi reported that Ukraine came to Jeddah with three proposals which were:

• achieving a ceasefire in the air;

• a naval ceasefire in the Black Sea;

• the exchange of prisoners of war.

“In the process of negotiations, we received a proposal from the American side to have a full interim ceasefire. We decided that it’s a good proposal because it clearly shows who wants peace,” Tykhyi added.
