Ukraine Strikes Major Russian Drone Factory in Belgorod, Disrupting UAV Production

On September 24, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the successful targeting of a Russian drone production site in Valuyki, Belgorod Oblast.
The statement highlights that the strike was part of broader operations aimed at weakening the enemy’s military-economic potential by hitting critical infrastructure across Russian territory.
“Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, with the aim of disrupting UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) production and reducing the combat capabilities of the adversary, struck a UAV production facility in the settlement of Valuyki, Belgorod Oblast, Russia. Hits and a fire have been recorded,” the General Staff said.
They also noted that the results and extent of the damage are still being clarified.
Local residents initially reported a large fire near Valuyki’s railway station on social media, which was later confirmed by the regional governor on his Telegram channel.
“Regarding the Ukrainian strikes in our region—in the Valuyki municipal district: in particular, the city of Valuyki was attacked by 34 UAVs, 16 of which were neutralized,” the governor said.
Previously, it was reported that a Ukrainian long-range loitering munition RAM-2X has destroyed a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system at Luhansk Airport, in what analysts describe as one of the deepest strikes carried out by this platform to date.
